Cleve Taylor, President

Cleve Taylor founded the Malcolm Patrick Corporation in 2004 with his partner Ted Civetta Jr. to bring honest minority participation to the construction industry. This was done through detail cost estimating, quality planning, and installation at a reasonable profit. Malcolm Patrick has completed its 12th year of profitable operation without a time loss injury. Since MPC’s conception all projects have been successfully completed and are fully referenceable. Under Cleve’s leadership, bonding capacity has been expanded to $ 6 million, computerized filings systems have been implemented for all construction projects and certified financial statements are available for all clients.

Prior to starting Malcolm Patrick, Cleve served as Director of Accounting for the National Headquarters of the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation, followed by a 21 year career with the NYC Fire Department. As one of NYC’s Bravest, Cleve was responsible for the control and extinguishment of fires, code and laws enforcement and is certified in Collapse, Hazardous Material and Bioterrorism Training.

His most recent accomplishment included being elected as Corporate Treasurer and re-elected as President of the Riverbay Corporation (a/k/a Co-op City), where he led the Corporation out of financial distress by implementing cost and revenue strategies that added $ 27 million to its free operating cash position.
